Tunisia: Operations Alert – Rise in Deadly Incidents – 15 April 2025

Between 7 April and 15 April 2025, an unusually high number of deadly incidents occurred across Tunisia.

While these incidents do not point to a specific threat profile, we are highlighting them encourage cautious, situational awareness, and review of contingency and emergency response plans.

  • 7 April: A Tunisian student fell to his death while hanging a Palestinian flag
  • 10 April: A charred body was found under a bridge at the entrance to the city of Tataouine
  • 12 April : A man was murdered in the Geant parking lot at Tunis City during an argument
  • 13 April : A woman in her twenties was murdered in Gabes
  • 13 April : The body of a man in his twenties was found behind the Al-Sind Institute in Gafsa
  • 13 April : The body of a young man who was herding sheep was found near his home in Tataouine
  • 14 April: Three students died after part of a wall collapsed at Al Mazounah Secondary School.
  • 14 April : Presumed suicide of a student who was found hanged in Boumhel
  • 14 April : A student died and others are injured in two traffic accidents related to travel for Bac Sport events
  • 14 April: A murder occurred in the Bir El Hafi
  • 14 April: A twenty-year-old man committed suicide by hanging on a farm in Gafsa
