Algeria’s digital initiatives are set to strengthen the country’s role in regional connectivity and the broader African digital ecosystem. The Medusa submarine cable, coupled with expanding fiber networks, is expected to support the growth of digital services, e-commerce, and technological innovation.
The government’s efforts to establish fair and secure digital platforms, alongside the gradual rollout of 5G and the expansion of electronic payments, could attract investment in the technology and telecommunications sectors, promote economic diversification, and enhance Algeria’s competitiveness in regional and international digital markets.
