Tunisia: Cargo Terminal at Enfidha-Hammamet Airport Reopened

by | Feb 28, 2026 | Economic, Political, Social, Tunisia

Summary:

On 6 February 2026, the cargo terminal at Enfidha-Hammamet International Airport officially resumed operations after being dormant for approximately a decade.

The project was led by TAV Tunisia, which operates the Enfidha-Hammamet and Monastir airports. TAV collaborated with the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of the Center (CICC), which has been engaged in the project since July 2025.

The project was launched under the slogan: “Open again, to connect your markets” after TAV and CICC identified a need for cargo services.

Outlook:

Amidst growing trade demand, the re-opening of the Enfidha cargo terminal reinforces Tunisia’s logistics infrastructure and supports long-term economic growth, while laying the groundwork to build confidence amongst international investors and business partners.

This initiative creates new opportunities for flexibility and responsiveness to the needs of exports which have traditionally relied heavily on maritime routes for exports, making this development particularly valuable for perishable products.
